Senior Frontend Developer
We are looking for a new Senior Frontend Developer to join our team of 40+ developers, designers, journalists, and astrophysicists, who make the magic happen on our website timeanddate.com.
Do you want your work to be seen by over 2 million people daily?
Leverage your experience and expertise to build accessible, scalable, and high-performance applications with a focus on user experience, and to evolve our design system to ensure consistency across our products.
Based at our headquarters in Stavanger, you will join a diverse and inclusive team encompassing 14 nationalities, all dedicated to realizing our company mission of "simplifying life in a globalized world" and to living our five company values in day-to-day work life: collaboration, trust, respect, evolution, and enjoyment.
If this resonates with you, and you bring a good helping of professional motivation, positive attitude, and communication skills, we'd like to hear from you. This is your chance to become an essential part of a company at the forefront of its field!
As a Frontend developer with us, your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Designing and developing robust, scalable, and high-performing user interfaces for our website
- Implementing accessible, responsive, and frontend solutions compatible across devices
- Contributing to and evolving our design system by building reusable, well-structured components in collaboration with designers
- Participating in architectural decisions to ensure maintainability and long-term scalability of the frontend codebase
- Conducting thorough code reviews to uphold coding standards and mentor other developers
- Proactively identifying and addressing technical challenges, initiating improvements to frontend performance, structure, and workflow
- Communicate clearly and constructively with designers, backend developers, testers, project managers, and other stakeholders to align on technical and product goals
Our wish list for a dream candidate looks a bit like this:
You’re someone who sees both the small details and the big picture. You enjoy digging into challenges and shaping well-architected, maintainable solutions. You take ownership of your work, identifying what needs to be done, and leading the way in implementing high-quality, robust solutions. You bring constructive feedback to code reviews and help raise the bar for code quality.
Ideally, you’re experienced with design systems, accessibility best practices, and performance optimizations. You excel in Typescript and Vue (or other frameworks such as React). It's a bonus if you have some knowledge of full-stack frameworks such as Astro, Nuxt, Next etc.
We’re open to candidates with a niche focus or unique experience relevant to our domain, and while a Computer Science degree is appreciated, it’s not essential. Solid professional experience can go a long way.
The only requirement written in stone is that you have a genuine love for frontend web development, a curious nature, and are comfortable with our corporate language, English.
Our offer:
At Time and Date, you’ll get the chance to follow your work from idea to implementation. With us, you can pour your heart into a project and follow it through its whole lifecycle, making meaningful contributions over time. You’ll be part of a team working smart, growing steadily, and having fun while doing it.
We believe work should be enjoyable, so we make space for shared experiences like memorable company trips abroad and team-building activities that strengthen our connections and let us have fun together.
Outside of work hours, colleagues organize social groups for jogging, sauna, gaming, hiking, climbing, and quizzes.
We also care about your health and well-being. That’s why we offer:
- Reimbursement for sports and fitness activities, whether it’s a gym membership, swimming, yoga, races, or anything else that gets you sweating.
- HjemJobbHjem memberships, free parking on the premises, and secure bike storage.
- Shower and locker facilities to support an active lifestyle during the workday.
You will be entitled to five weeks of holiday, plus Christmas, New Year's, and the Wednesday before Easter.
While you will be based at our modern headquarters in Stavanger, we also offer the flexibility to work partially from home.
As a Time and Date team member, you will have a free choice of preferred equipment, and your onboarding process is designed to ease you into the company over time.
We offer competitive salaries, private health insurance, and of course pension to attract and retain the best people.

If all the perks above aren't enough to convince you that working here is fun, take a look at all the social experiences we have shared over the years, including company trips to Paris, Iceland, and Vienna.
Every year, the staff are invited to various social team building events ranging from mystery-solving to comedy shows, friendly competitions, and races, not to mention impromptu pizza parties, delicious dinners, lunches, and the annual Christmas party at great local venues.
